The Optimized Route: Routed by the unknown. A defiant diagram of taking control.
The project “reverses” the routing system by randomizing the data source and forces the user to obey the order without conscious decision.
“New way of exploring the city.” — experience an environment without a precise routing method and follow the randomized decisions that the devices generated.
Inspired by Acconci Vito’s Following Piece (1969), ‘The Optimized Route’ targets to investigate the conflict of our decision making and machine-generated demands.

The project ends when we obey the “optimized“ decisions, creating the map of a virtual reality that the generator has created.
The process of the performance has been documented in a journal photo book. The graphic style is inspired by the concept of the movie Alphaville (1965), the vision without Alpha 60.
